Motorcycle trip in California
Diary by Clifford, part 2
(Click HERE to return to list of galleries)

Dear fellow club members,

Hi again this is my second update on our tour in California.
Last Wednesday we went to "Sequoia National Park", where we had to challenge many curves on the mountains.

The park has one the biggest trees in the US.
Reaching heights bigger then the statue of Liberty (more then 93m , 305ft.)

This Thursday we went to the "Yosemite National Park" and for the first time, I experienced snow.
The park has many steep peaks, rivers and huge waterfalls. This was also bear country. Luckily non came across our paths.

The biggest attraction of the park is "Yosemite Falls", one of the most photographed landscapes in the US.
The weather was 4 degrees Celsius and if you notice we packed heavy on clothing.

The most pleasant scenes we see along the roads and highways are old cars sitting in a barn or yard, ranging from a 1958 Ford Thunderbird to a 1956 Chrysler Imperial. California has a dry climate year round so rust on these cars are at a minimal.

Tomorrow will be our final ride to San Fransisco and ride on the Golden Gate Bridge. I can hardly wait.

Till then from Modesto, CA.,
