Motorcycle trip in California
Diary by Clifford

Dear Wabi Club members,

As you know by now, Daniel and I, as of our other club members, Horacio de Gouveia and José (Topogigo), are enjoying some r&r in California and I thought it would be nice to email you guys a kind of diary of our trip.

We started our trip in San Francisco during the weekend and had a tour of the city.
As you can see from the pictures, we visited many attractions.

On Sunday we took our rental bikes and started from San Francisco to Monterey (Pebble Beach), traveling along the pacific coast (27 motorcycles in total). Temperatures where cold and foggy (misty) and the roads had lots of curves, uphill and downhill, which give us a lot of excitement along the way.

The first old cars we saw along the way were two Packard's from 1955 and 1937. Later on we saw a couple of Ford Mercury's of 1952 and a '55 Chevy Bel Air. They told us that there was a car show in the vicinity but unfortunately we were unable to locate it.

Today we arrived in Visalia, CA which is a lot more inland and warmer.
Tomorrow we will travel to Sequoia National Park and ride along the Sierra Nevada mountains.

Okay, it's getting late and I have to sign off for now.

Greetings from sunny California,

Clifford
