Motorcycle trip in California

Dear fellow club members,

It took me a while but we are at our final part of our trip in California.

Leaving Modesto we went our way to Napa Valley where they make the famous California wine.
Along the way you could notice different french style chateau's with extensive vineyards among the country side.

You could also notice expensive and strange cars in different parking lots in Napa Valley, like a Mustang Shelby signed by Carroll Shelby and a Dodge Charger 4-door convertible.

Moving on to Oakland the traffic became more intense upon the arrival of the majestic Golden Gate bridge.
While riding on the bridge you could see the Pacific ocean and the city of San Francisco. Very impressive.

On many bridges you have to pay a toll (fee) and luckily we had a break and they let us go for free. Very generous.
Upon entering San Francisco we had problems maintaining the group together and it split up in two, one going to the motorcycle rental (for the return) and the other to downtown (wrong way). You can guess where I ended up, in the wrong direction.

Deciding to take charge of the little group (7 bikes) and with help from others, we managed to find our way thru the streets of San Francisco, having some scary moments along the way like riding behind a cable car while going uphill and then downhill on very, VERY steep hills. Sure was a moment to remember.

Eventually we arrived at the motorcycle rental safely with just 10 minutes after the main group.
The last two days in San Francisco we stumbled on a garage that restores only Mustangs and Ford cars which was nice to see. Later on we went to a California Choppers where we got to see some cool looking bikes.

Well folks, we are at the end of my diary and I must say I had the most wonderful time in California seeing some unique sites and interesting people but most of all I got to know some more friends along the way.
